I got a new George Forman grill today. Meijer had a one day only coupon for $50 off the G5 grill. Such a deal. It is pretty cool though. Featuring 5 grill plates making it very versatile and easy to clean. Also came with a cookbook with lots of fun recipes. I am hoping that it will encourage me to cook for myself when Dave is at work instead of eating a lean cuisine standing over the sink.
I called Mom and worked out the menu for the picnic coming up. I am going to make Penzeys Peppery Potato Salad. Since I also have Penzeys Ranch Salad Dressing Base, I am going to make some chip dip. I am also going to make a batch of hummus. It will be nice to see everyone since I wasn't at the Christmas get together, being in Cancun and all. I wish Aunt Cindy, Uncle Dave, and Becky could make it but next time we will have to set the date earlier or set a specific weekend and have it that weekend every year like Aunt Cindy suggested. Just not the third weekend in August.

I LOOOOOVE that Penzey spice stuff. The potato salad was simply mah-velous, and was totally tasty simply because the recipe eliminated my least-favorite condiment, MUSTARD. Also worthy of note was the dip that Debbie made, which I pigged out on with the help of some pita bread. Grab a chunk of pita bread (or slice, however you want to look at it) and scoop a very healthy amount of dip and then cram the whole thing in your mouth. YUMMMMM!!!!!!
By the way, what the hell is WRONG with eating a Lean Cuisine while standing over the sink?!!!!! Unless, of course, your sink consists of just a hole in the floor. Then you could have a real problem.

World's shortest poem, once recited by a poet whose name I can't recall but he's now long-gone (bummer) but was a great guy to come and visit an elementary school back when I was a kid and walked uphill both ways in a snowstorm, barefoot, to get to school.
